Need motherboard for Quad core AMD?
Hey
I bought a cheap barebones bundle, only to find out they cheaped out on EVERYTHING.
The motherboard is very basic and only has 10/100 lan, and can only accept ddr2, which to get 4gb ram is turning out to be expensive.
I want to get all my stuff gigabit ready and ddr3, can you recomend a good motherboard.
I do not want to spend lots, cheaper the better, as I dont do much with my PC.

4GB DDR2 costs around £55. Just changing to DDR3 wont make it go any faster by itself. (You may see a 5% increase maybe).

Canada, if you don't really do much with your PC, keep what you've got, disable the on-board LAN in the BIOS and buy a PCI LAN card that meets your needs.
