Media Streaming from a second Media streamer
Hi,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

I am looking to get a second media streamer and want to know how I might link it in with what I have. I currently have…
Home Cinema Room: Have an Samsung LCD tv with a KEF 2005.3 5.1 surround sound system. In a walk in cupborad in this room I have an Arcam DV135 and AV Amp. They are linked with an HDMI and Optical digital lead through the wall to enable surround sound from the TV. This is more a film room.
Kitchen: wireless N router Broadband connection from Virgin
Sitting Room: A second LCD and some mid-range Hifi separates form the early 90's (Marantz, Kenwood and Tannoy kit) and a La Lacie Classic HD (1TB) with a ton of movies and music on. This is more a of light TV watching and listening to music room.
I want to get the Home Cinema room linked up to be able to watch films that are on the La Lacie HD. I believe I need another media streamer. I was thinking I would put the La Lacie in the Home Cinemas Room cupboard so I can watch the films and buy a Boxee Box for the Sitting Room and stream music contained on the La Lacie. ( I hear the Boxxee Box is a good streamer for getting music and iPlayer, and the La Lacie whilst having a 1TB HD apart from Flickr has no apps for streaming web content).
Does anyone know if this is possible to do and what I need to do to setup / or have any other suggestions to achieve the same / similar effect?
Thanks

The Lacie can act as a UpNp media server making the content on it available to other clients on your network, so should be no problems. (Lacie would need to be on).
At some point u may want to consider a NAS which will give u more storage, as a central store for ur media.
