>) Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read my post as I very much appreciate it.
I am making a man cave/gaming shed. My reasons are very simple. I'm asian, I'm 20, and my mom doesn't let anyone in the house unless they do bible study with her for an hour.
1. does purchasing and downloading itunes via wifi reduce quality than a wired connection?
2. does a super slow connection effect itunes quality?
just wondering what you folks would go for, 1 x play3 (possibly adding another in the future), 2 x play1's or. 1 soundtouch?
im looking for a fairly portable system so I can move the units from room to room as I can't afford to have systems in every room of the house!
Would it be prudent before high resolution Tracks take of to have a proper test between AVI and Sonos gear tested at a benchmark 320kbps in all available guises to see what is Top Gun between these entities.Just a thought i'm sure this post will disappear into obscurity
Good evening ladies/gents.
I didn't see a new member section so "Hi".
I currently use Bose products in my house but feel the need to upgrade to Sonos. I have two Bose Sounddocks (series 1) and a Bose 321 Sytem which is connected to my TV. I will be selling the 3 items to help fund my Sonos purchase.
I feel that the Play3 + bridge is what I will buy and maybe the sound bar too. Does anyone know if the soundbar can be connected via the bridge to make it a wifi playable device like the Play3 speakers?
I want to use Wi Fi direct to play music from a Android Tablet through wireless speakers but dont want to use any apples.
I know there are some Wi Fi direct speakers but a salesman at John L said that Airplay was the same thing and I cound link an Android to Airplay
Speakers with Wi Fi direct. I thought he was wrong but am I wrong?

Hello,I want to stream music from my iPad, iPhone and possibly from my PC to my hi-fi system.I planned on buying an Apple airport express, connecting its digital output to a DAC (probably a Cambridge Audio DAC Magic 100) and from there to my Rotel Amp.
But I heard that many people have issues with the airport express (specifically "skips" using the digital output through a DAC). Does anyone know if that has been solved?
Would using an Apple TV instead of the airport express be a better option?
It’s my first time posting, so please be patient with me
Just a quick query -
I have a speaker in my bathroom, but when I want to play music, I have to go to the living room.
How much difference would a new modem make to transferring data around my network if I replaced the old-ish ADSL2+ Thomson modem that my ISP provided?
If it would ,can anyone recommend a good modem for less than £60. I will be making a wifi network with airport express so it doesn't have to have wifi in built. The modem has to have 4 LAN ports (I think they're called) to connect certain 'toys' by Ethernet.
