Can I connect an external DAC when I stream music wireless from pc to receiver?

I own a Denon AVR-4308A, and I stream music wirelessly from my pc via a router to the receiver. But I really want to add an external DAC to improve the sound quality. The Problem is, i don't know how to add an external DAC to this system. Maybe you guys have some ideas?
You would basically need to add another device which could accept the wirelessly streamed music from your PC - if you're using iTunes, Airport Express is the way to go. That box could then output a digital connection to an external DAC which could then be connected into one of the analogue inputs of your Denon.
However, I'd imagine the Denon has a pretty good DAC built into it so you may have to spend quite a bit to improve on it - worth checking this out first before parting with any cash I'd say.
