Airport Express Woes, I don't know :0>>>
After a lot of messing about changing configurations etc... I was about to give up on Airtunes. I returned my Netgear plugs to PC World and felt resigned to never ever using my MAC as a music centre again.
That was until I found myself home alone for an afternoon afew days back. Expecting to hear the usual snap, crackle and pop, I booted up my MAC and selected remote speakers. Joy of joys music, just music. Excitedly I grabbed my iTouch and used the remote to select another track, that worked too!!!!!
I spent from midday to 6pm , sound playing without interruption, well I never, I have no idea what is going on, I just hope it lasts!
Thanks John.
Part of me wants to know what the problem was ~ I still cannot play two AX units togther, but that is fine as I'll just use one and increase the volume so as I can hear the music round the house!
The other part of me is happy and content to know that once again, if something doesn't work I can just leave it and hope it fixes itself ![]()
Yeah, that's the thing with wireless networks - turn everything off and turn them on in the right order, and bob's your uncle. People get paid big money to know what the right order is though......
I did notice that the Beresford was a touch quieter than the CD player, do you get that with the magic?

No, they're pretty much on a par, but two could quite easily be different, depends on whether its line out is exactly 2v or not....
It's not a big deal ~ I can live with it.
Could also be down to either cable differences (my Chorus seems quieter than my Cobra) or just the Beresford being a bit cleaner and therefore your perception is that it's quieter. Dunno.
No worries - off to pub now ;0)

Back when I was a nipper, when an electrical good went faulty, we would stick it in the loft for a few months. Bring it back down again after that and it generally worked again. I still use the phrase that something sounds like it needs a session in the loft to this day...
(though unfortunately I no longer have a loft

Not all of us John, not all of us...

Not me after the 31st, certainly.
When things went wrong, we used to give it a good bang. Even the repair man used to do this with tellys. Couldn't imagine banging my kuro. Probably knock it off the wall!
Oh, computers also benefit from the "foot" fix PJ
...
Still not found anything then JD?

Working on it. Meeting someone tomorrow which seems very promising...

See, told you. Dunno what all the fuss was about.
