I have been relunctant to update my 2nd generation ipod touch to iOS4 because there really didnt seem to be anything in it for me and reports said that it really slowed the ipod down.  However, the possibility of being able to stream music via an airport express without turning on my mac has whet my appetite.

Has anybody updated their 2nd gen ipod and has it slowed it down?   Many thanks

Where does one find the Airplay option on the Touch? I've upgraded to 4.2 but can't find it.

Two ways. Firstly, some of the volume controls (like the one on Spotify for example) have a little icon beside them, where you can choose your target. Otherwise, double click on the home button to bring up the running apps list and scroll all the way to the left, where there's a set of Airplay controls - click on it and it gives you the choice of ipod or Airport Express.

You need to be on the same network as the AE obviously.
