Laptop to AVR connection

When i connect my laptop to AVR (Denon 1612) by HDMI cable and run HD content fron laptop, it is playing STEREO instead Dolby/DTS. Help me on this.

Hello Hemant! Welcome to the forums!! Which part of Mumbai are you from?

It depends on the settings on your laptop's soundcard. See if Dolby / DTS is possible or not.
