No, it's not down to me, it's the chooser of the 3 films, so Mike has the deciding vote on either Pan's Labyrinth or In The Realm Of The Senses.

yes it is! Sorry...

Like BBB I'd encourage you to stay if possible strapped. Your input would be missed. Maybe I need to stop jabbering on on side issues? Anyway, only you know your work commitments but it would be a shame if you couldn't find a little time for this.

Digression's fine; and probably inevitable on a forum and thread such as this. I'm as guilty as anyone in this regard. In other words, jabber away!

Pulling out of film club has nothing to do with anyone here, or discussion on this thread in any way. I've found it difficult to find time to watch the films; and with work piling up and deadlines looming, I need to get stuck in and put a few things to one side.

That's honestly all there is to it. Smile Maybe I need a new career path that allows for greater work-life balance, if such a thing still exists.

I never expected the vote to be this close.

I have spent some time deliberating as to which to choose. I was initially intending to choose The Realm Of The Senses, because fewer club members have already watched it, however taking into account HFOs preferences, I will instead choose Pan's Labyrynth.

I think most members already think it is an enjoyable film.

thanks Mike! Already looking for a copy of the film to buy, but first will give a call to my video club/second hand DVDs to see if they have a copy.

Will watch V for Vendetta as well.

RE: The WHF Film Club

Would it be possible for everyone to watch Mulholland Drive by the 24th of January?

I know JD wanted to discuss 13 Tzameti further, does anyone else wish to continue discussing the film?

Fire away JD if you wish to discuss some aspect of the film.

I have even managed to persuade one of my colleagues today, that they may like to borrow my DVD. Smile

I haven't seen that film but I assume the subject matter is obvious. If you like that sort of taboo film then Choke is well worth a watch. Features the excellent Sam Rockwell, being excellent.

I've got Choke now Ben, might watch tomorrow.

Watched Black Pond tonight. I wasn't expecting much, but it was ok, not great, but amusing at times.

Worth watching if there's nothing else on.

How's everyone getting on with watching Mulholland Drive?

I must admit to not watching it yet, but I do have the DVD, so will try to watch it over the next few days.

Have you seen it yet? Think I still have it saved on my DVDR, waiting to burn to a disc.

I have it but not watched yet. Pretty busy at the moment and spending my spare time watching Breaking Bad!

I watched it a few days ago, liked it, didn't love it, but it could be a grower, so I'll keep it for future viewing.

Yeah, I found second and third watches improved. Enough to make me want to keep it, which is getting increasingly rare. Also an interesting role for Rockwell.
