CD is a bit expensive at 35 quid but the MP3 download is a lot cheaper.

I downloaded the FLAC version, which sounds lovely, and cost me £6.47.

Big Noise from Winnetka - Kyle (son of Clint) Eastwood. Great bass

Seen Kyle Eastwood live a couple of times now in a small jazz club – Big Noise was a set highlight on both occasions

Came across this discovery a short while ago whilst browsing on Spotify for all things Danny Thompson related. Featuring Darrell Scott, Kenny Malone and of course the wonderful Danny Thompson, this is like an Americana/Roots power trio. Shades of The Band, Little Feat, CCR and that kind of stuff. Fabulous, my best buy of the year so far..

I don't know any of their original albums but I have their 'Ultimate Collection' greatest hits album.

It's one of those rare albums where I really like every song. Two full CDs and there's not a single duff song there.

Well he's not related to Richard but he has been a longtime friend and musical partner of RT for many a long year.

He's got a CV as long as your arm, he's played his double bass with far too many musicians to mention. Probably my favourite gig ever was seeing Richard and Danny Thompson together at Manchester's Exchange Theatre years ago, a truly magical evening of music, song and humour.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour - Out of Frequency http://open.spotify.com/album/5XKHUB4FxiDdS1oWCE4a2U

It's an unusual yet cheerful sounding album by the girl from this Heineken ad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMfvzlf9Uus
