Skunk Anansie
English

Purchased the album 'Stoosh' today. Hadn't heard it in years and...WOW!

She looks pretty odd but what a voice: A cross between Annie Lennox and a female Jeff Buckley.

Fabulous.

As an example of her vocal power & control, I just love the Evanescance / Fallen / My Immortal track   :rockout:

Nope, didn't know. I have 'Hedonism' on cd single which I play occasionally. It was buying this album that made me sit up think "what have I been missing?"

I prefer Martha Wainwright's new, slightly bonkers LP. She's, at least on the artful cover, fabulous to look at and a scary talent.

I love Skunk Anansie. My favourite song by them is Selling Jesus from the Paranoid & sunburnt album. All their albums are first class.

Sony 808 ES Amplifer, PSB imagine B bookshelf speakers, Pro-ject debut carbon turntable, Audiolab 8200 CD player, Pioneer N-50 streamer, Revox B77 1/2 reel to reel player, Sennheiser Momentun headphones and some Atlas cables.

First saw Skunk Anansie in the late 90's - Cardiff University. Excellent band.

They had a gig on Sky Arts 1 the other night - first time i've even seen Skin with hair.
