Had my TV calibrated today.
It was WAY out!
So far everything looks better.
Better colours, foreground stands out from background properly.
Worth the cost.

Not surprising - haven't heard anyone who's had it done who wasn't pleased with the outcome.

FennerMachine, you'll not be the first person whose TV was, before calibration, way out - on my 64" Samsung plasma the blue readings were literally off the scale! I'm really glad that you are so pleased with it. And now, more than ever, you'll be "keeping your TV until it breaks"! Even if you buy a bigger one at a later date, still keep this one and maybe put into a secondary room. It's good that you've also reported your findings on the main calibration thread "Arguments for and against calibration".
