WHS&V? folks please advise - Pana' 42G10 or Phill' 47PFL7404?

Want to replace my TV.
Ideally, I'd like a 46in plasma (prefer deep blacks/contrast & watch lots of F1/motorsport). But none of the plasmas in the recent WHS&V? 46-47in mega test scored 5 stars.
Fancy the Phillips 47PFL7404 but noticed that review said, 'Could go blacker.' My other option is the Pana TX-P42G10. (My budget max is £1000.)
So, I'd like to know which has the best picture quality - the Phillips 47PFL7404 or the Pana TX-P42G10?
Thanks.
