What to do with my Panasonic vt20
I've just brought a panny vt20 50". I got home and put in on my tv stand but now im unsure if its to big for my room. I havent turned it on yet coz im worried they wouldnt take it back if i do. I only sit 2m away for the tv. What do ppl think i should do?
Hi,
Plug everything in, get the beers/popcorn/munchies in and enjoy your favourite film.
Once you've seen it in action you'll wonder what you were thinking contemplating NOT using it!!

PS If all else fails I'll swap you my 42" lol.
haha thanks for ur reply... u might b right with me getting used it but its a lot of money to waste if i turn it on and they dont take it back
haha i so wanna turn it on believe me. but if i turn on and they wont take it back im stuck with a £2300 tv
turning it on wont mean they wont take it back ...
turn it on , see if it suites you ..
but it says if u want to return it u can not of used it?
Hi,
Where'd you get it?
If you've broken the seal on the carton they'll think you've plugged it in anyway?
I'm sure most retailers would exchange it for something else - there may be a 're-stocking fee' though.

id be surprised if that was the case , whats the point of having a 7 day or whatever return policy if you cant actually watch the tv ? how are you supposed to know if you like it or not ?
they is no seal on the box but i have ripped the bag for the screws for the stand thats all.
Just tery it on HD images you will not even be bothered by the size, i sometimes think the 42 inch has become to small, and i watch from just 3 mtrs.
thats what i thought but it says on the back of the return policy if i use it i cant return it.

Hi
I recently read the what hi fi ultimate guide book and i am pretty sure they said 2m for a 50inch was about perfect.
As regard to not opening the box, just make sure you damage nothing what so ever and you should be fine.
I sit 3m away from an 83in projector screen![]()
If you love movies, as your username - and investment in a seriously high-end TV - suggests, just make sure you feed your big-screen beauty with a quality HD feed and you'll be enjoying an immersive film experience. ![]()
Just don't expect SD TV - especially the lower-on-the-planner digital nonsense - to look good...
Hi,
Where'd you get it?

thats makes this tv look small lol... so clare do u find it ok to what movies from that distance then?

Well i had the same thing when i bought a 42 inch panasonic plasma, but after a week i moved it to my bedroom cause it became to small ha..so i think you get used to it and for movies how bigger the better.
