Tosh 42XV555DB and 100hz question

Been looking for a 42" full HD for a while now, just seen that comet and currys and doing the Toshiba 42XV555DB for 599 today, any experience out there of this set please?
Also, what is all this about 100hz on LCD? is it worth it the extra?
