i wanted to ask claire if she could spill the beans on what she thought was on par with the kuro (was not the panasonic) black levels not as good sorry max
so claire which set was this? i heard you mentioning this
it was a long thread claire did`nt give much a way so i was wondering if she might
Could it be the Sony HX903?
Ah, right - what she actually said was
Clare Newsome:Kuro still brilliant for blacks, but now
surpassed in some other areas by current crop of flagship sets (eg
Panasonic's VT20 plasma for motion-handling and detail, as covered in
our review in new issue).
The term 'legend killer' wasn't used.
no dont think so that only comes in 46inch ?
by the way andy your review also states its black levels arent as good as the pioneer.
tvspecv:no dont think so that only comes in 46inch ?
You can get it in 52", but WHF haven't reviewed it yet.
I'm think I'll treat myself to the latest issue today...
Don't understand your first point, given that the Pioneer's came in both 42in and 50in versionstvspecv:no dont think so that only comes in 46inch ?
and on the second point, speccy, that's just what Clare said.
tvspecv:by the way andy your review also states its black levels arent as good as the pioneer.
THE LEGEND (is basically the kuro which has been king for a while) the killer is the one that has taken its crown now do you get it andy?

Nope, not a clue, as is quite often the case with your melodramatic posts, I fear...
I am also totally baffled by this thread ![]()
As my quote above suggests (thanks, Andrew, for digging that out), there are things the Panasonic - and the Sony - do better than the Kuro.
If I had a Kuro, would I sell it and buy one of these new sets? Not yet, no - there's nothing we've seen to date that's completely overtaken every element of its performance. It remains an amazing TV.
what do they do better?
er , no problem ?? was that ARI ?...tvspecv:i wanted to ask claire if she could spill the beans on what she thought was on par with the kuro (was not the panasonic) black levels not as good sorry max
