Hi fellow Sony fans, in the past 2 or 3 days I have noticed 2 vertical narrow blue lines on either side of my screen while watching my usual programmes through my Sky HD box . Not evident on all stations but definitely on channel 4 and 5 , it also shows on stations like E4 , Fiver and so on . Any ideas guys . Thanks.

Two blue lines? It's pregnant - congratulations!Party!!!

But seriously - this could be a broadcast issue, rather than a problem with your TV. Does it happen with any other sources other than your Sky box - eg Blu-ray player, DVD player?

Re: Sony Television.

Hi Clare, thanks for prompt reply . The lines do not show when viewing through my DVD recorder ( HDMI ) or through Scart . My television is the 46W5500 and apart the current annoying niggle it is an excellent television . If it is a broadcast issue do you have any further thoughts on that? Sonycentre suggested I set my Sky Box to auto , which I do on a regular basis anyway to try to get the best possible picture over 1080i . No difference to the naked eye in picture quality between Auto and 1080i . Thanks again to you both .
