Received an email from Sony Centre on Tottenham Court Road and they have it on display.

That's got me looking even more forward to what hifis review. This review says input lag at 7ms, perfect for gamers such as myself and oldboy
It's strange that Sony itself is not advertising this. I haven't found any other site confirming it. I'll wait for a few more reviews.

I've always been a PC gamer but not a massive one. I've never owned a console in my life but I think I might be getting a PS4 for my 55W905A.
Much obliged in posting the review web link of the W905A.......I am very happy with that review....
A 7ms gaming lag....unheard of !!! Colors that rocks.....
I rang my RSounds store still no sign of it......was assured it will be stocked.
What's more it doesn't look like it tilts back this year like last years did, I saw one and thought it looked stupid. That alone would stop me buying a tv even if it had the best pictures ever produced

I contacted RIcher Sounds' head office and their purchasing department are going to contact me when they are due stock. I'll post as soon as I hear anything.
There was alot of people that shared that sentiment about the 55HX853, rocketrazor.
I'm just wondering why there aren't any other reviews for the 55W905A when its already been released?
They had some new Sonys in my local Currys today (no 9 series ones). They look really odd with the strange shape stand and that rectangular badge at the bottom of the screen is huge.
Guys, our Sony KDL-55W905A unboxing video is now online. Review to follow

That big lump lights up, too? Even worse!
I'm pretty sure you can turn it off...
lets hope so, my sister has a Samsung where the Samsung name lights up, she thinks its cool, it would drive me bonkers!
cheers for the heads up, look forward to reading it and to see how it compares with the pannys esp as the Sony won the 55" award last year
Now you are talking! This looks like the ideal set to replace my 46HX853 in the living room as I really wanted to go up to a 55inch this year and with a lag time of 7ms you can count me in if I can get the cash together towards the end of the year when I would hope the price has fallen.
As a gamer this looks like the ideal set to give me a good balance between movie and game performance, it would seem Sony has started to turn their tv division around and that last year wasn't just a one off fluke. Really looking forward to the WHF reveiw now.
If anyone gets one please post your thoughts on it, would really appreciate a review.

The unboxing video posted by WH HIFi on the new Sony W9 TV made my day,
it came on a plain box rather than one with a colour advert. It looked lighter too which is a good.Looked solid too.
As for the non tilt screen on this new set,I personally never saw any benefits of it on the HX 853, I rather see it swing sideways as I'll have mine in a bed room as I am a student.
havent translated it yet though
