pulling my hair out on this one all is there not much in it 

or should i just buy my time

I would wait until mid-year to buy a tv at the moment with the new range not too long away, you will be kicking your self when a newer and better comes out 3 months down the line at the same price

yes id definitely wait , ok if you were just looking for a regular 40in hdtv , for £6-700 , but judging from the tvs on your shortlist , your looking for a high end , fairly pricey tv , if you could hang on 8-10 weeks , you will have a better idea of this years range , if nothing grabs you , the tvs on your shortlist will probably be cheaper by then anyway ...

Philips 46-9704 is the one to go for its a step up from the 6446 version but at a price too!

cheers for replays,

i read up a bit on the 46 9704 and the home cinama  guy on here said he has it in his shop and the pictures are on par with the x4500 however the sony is 1600 and at the mo the phillips is 2.5k yes it has the lovely amberlight but does that put a hole grand on it
