Panasonic TXP50VT30 or GT50?

Hi can anyone give me advice on which to get? Had my eye on a 50" VT30 and got price match at JL for £1045 and a BDT320 bluray for £185. Have now been confused by many people saying the GT50 is better - at around £1250. Any thoughts or better price? Or wait 6 months for the GT50 to drop in price!! Cheers Will
