Ok I ave found an ST30 online for £699, even though they were £550 there seems to be zero stock about apart from the Next directory which are doing them for £699 with 1 year warranty, however my local Panasonic are offering the GT50 with 5 year warranty, 2 pairs of glasses for £1099. Not really fussed about 3D but more interested in playback for blu ray. Is the GT50 worth the £400 extra for picture quality alone?  How much of an improvement is it. I am swayed towards the GT50 as it looks a lot nice than the ST30.

When are we likely to see price cuts on 2012 TVs?

Looking at the price for the GT50 I'm guessing 42".

stevebrock.

You really need to have a look at the sets yourself to see which one you prefer, its only a decision you can make.

I would think its a bit early for price cuts on 2012 models.

At my local Currys they are doing the Panasonic 42gt30 for £549, which is a very good deal.  Cheapest I have seen the Panasonic 42gt50 is £1149, that said the performance is cracking.

I would consider a 42" tv then, instead of a 42 foot one. Wink
