Everything you need to know is here -

As far as I'm concerned, I'll be getting the 42V10. Don't let the review put you off, go and see one working and then make your decision.

EDITED BY MODS FOR HOUSE RULES VIOLATIONS

Don't be put off by the what Hi fi review I think they've been a bit harsh only giving it four stars.  The v10 is also available online for £1249.99 on amazon, play and at Digital Direct, at that price I think it certainly represents value for money.

The G15 range, I think, comes out next month.  At Play.com the 46" G15 is £200 more than the G10.  Specs suggest it to be similar to V10, so it will probably be a 4 or 5 star product.

G15 is the same PQ as the G10 but with a thinner 2" panel, extra Viera Cast DLNA access, plays Divx from SD card, extra HDMI port.

G10/G15 are not the same PQ as the V10 as that has THX picture mode.

Hi, When is there likely to be a review online for the 46" G15?

Have you seen a v10 yet? I saw one in John Lewis and thought it looked really good, on blu ray atleast. I still need to see how it performs with freeview and dvd, but hopefully it should be good.

Just wondering what's made you go for it in spite of it not being a 5star product, instead of the g10. My reason is unrelated to picture, in that i don't like the design of the g10, and think the v10 looks better. Not sure this is worth paying £300 more though, which is why i was wondering why you're going for the v10.

Unrelated to this, I'm probably going to buy the tv online and save £250, and use the difference to buy an extended warranty. I know JL has 5 year free warranty, but i was told it doesn't cover call out (£100) amongst other things. Does anyone know if you can get product cover, call out, parts and labour etc independently?

Re: Panasonic Plasma Range

John Lewis dont charge callout.

The V10 has better PQ than the G10, THX picture mode is nigh on perfect "straight out of the box" with no need for calibration. It has extra HDMI, better design with one sheet of glass, much thinner panel (2"), Digital Cinema Colour, Deep Colour,  improved sound.. etc...

Edit: Forgot about Viera Cast DLNA access. All in all,  worth £300? Yes

Re: Panasonic Plasma Range

Rewerb,

How do you know JL don't charge call out? I was told that the JL guarantee didn't cover a lot of things, and that it cost JL very little to provide it for this reason. The person that told me works in Hughes (a shop in east anglia), and he knew i wasn't going to buy the tv there because they didn't have it and i was moving to london, where they dont have shops. He recomended buying the tv online and using the saving to buy an extended warranty that he said covers everything, but i can't remember the name of the company he said.

I saw the V10 in JL the other day, and unfortuneately it is not 2" as you say (and as i was expecting, having read that somewhere), but something like 3.75" compared to the g10 which is slightly over 4".

Because I asked them before I bought the TV from them. JL will send out the engineer for free if there is a fault under the guarantee. They are of course well known for their very good customer service.

The  bulk of the TV panel is 5.5cm thick, but it does flare out at the back at the centre bottom where all the connections are.

Re: Panasonic Plasma Range

I was in comet two days ago & i noticed that panasonics X,G & S range looked identical (appearence) also today i was in john lewis & saw a 42V10, it didn't look very different to the X,G & S models you realy have to check the model No's. to see what the telly is.

Has anybody else noticed this or is it me, i'm sure they were all slightly different last year.
