Panasonic 2012 plasma with Samsung glasses?
Hi, I know that 3d is a bit of a controvertial topic (!) but I would like to try it on my new Panasonic ST50. However, I don't particularly want to pay £50 a pair...
Am I right in saying that certain glasses (such as the samsung ssg-p41002 which are £30 a pair) will work with new Panasonics? Has anyone tried using non-Panasonic glasses and if so are Panasonics worth the extra money?
Thanks!
Ha! That wouldn't be ideal then!
No, my understanding is that the TV manufacturers have now agreed upon a common standard, & active 3D TVs from 2012 onwards are compatible with other manufacturers' active shutter glasses.

Well I bought some samsung ssg 4100 glasses and can confirm that they do work with the st50. I doubt that they are better than the panasonic specs but are certainly much cheaper at 15 pounds a pair.
I heard that active glasses don't work on other sets. That is one of the main reason why i got a passive 3d set. The glasses are cheaper and more comfortable on my LG Tv
