Noticeable difference between 50mhz & 100mhz?

I am currently researching lcd tv's and wondered if there would be a difference. I am looking to buy a 32" and will be viewing mostly sd tv, including the occasional footy match on terrestrial tv, hence the question whether it is worth paying the extra for a 100mhz set.
