Mediaplayer for iMac and Panasonic plasma

I tried a Devolo Vianect Air but could not get an image on the tv, although the computer showed a Panasonic tv as second monitor. Also the connectionlevel showed  only medium, even with the transmitter - receiver distance 1 m. I bring it back and look for something else. Any recommendation ?
