Formula 1 motor-racing in HD?

I've just heard a rumour that F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is about to push the go button on high-definition filming of races. Very exciting stuff, though with ITV having the rights to Grand Prix coverage in the UK, we can't expect to see HD broadcasts here just yet. But hey, it's a step closer to better-looking, better-sounding motor-racing - which with a possible British world champion in the mix has got to be a good thing.

 Either that or we'll all end up having to have a V+ box and a Sky HD box...

More likely a special BernieBox, requiring you to stuff in wads of £50 notes before you can watch each race
