'Confused and in need of help!' - Question re: PZ80
I'm confused.
Is the Panasonic Th-42PZ80 full HD or just HD ready?
I'm stuck deciding between the Z80 and Z70 (the Z85 is out of my price range).
Regardless of the age old epic argument and discussion concerning the 'Z70 suffering from judder' issues (blind to some it would seem) I'm looking to opt for this because I can find it for £770 including delivery - which is an amazing price.
However, the reason I was looking at the Z80 was because it DOES support 24p in the proper fashion (and is improved in places over the Z70 with contrast, extra HDMI connection etc) - however, if you look at the digital direct website and look at the specs for the Z80 and then the Z85, it seems like the Z85 is the Full HD version and not the Z80. I'm using that site as an example which isn't a perfect way of proving or disproving something, hence the question here.
Anyways, wouldn't this (the fact the Z70 is full HD) make the Z70 a better choice than the Z80?
Could really do with some clarification on this.
For the record, I've seen the Z70 in action. Watched the blue-ray version of Oceans 13. Amazing picture. Not a sign of judder. Same with PS3 games. But enough about that....
In Panasonic code, all 'Z' sets are Full HD, while 'X' sets are HD Ready.
Also, 'TH means plasma (with a handy 'P' after the screen size to help out further); TX means LCD (which has a handy 'L').
Thanks.
The PZ80 hasn't been reviewed yet, has it? I know the Z70 generally got some fantastic write-ups. Apart from the extra features , curious to know how it performs in comparison.

The PZ80 IS Full HD. It must be a misprint on the website. The PX80 is the HD Ready model. I would lean towards paying the extra for the PZ80 over the PZ70 for the extra features.
