Erm, too late...

Have successfully removed the offending fingerprints but now appear to be experiencing viewing difficulties.

Think I have 6 months left on my Kuro's warrantee. Am I covered?

It's not viewing difficulties as such, what you've actually managed to do is make your Kuro a glasses free 3D tv. 

Congratulations, and now there's no need to test whether you are covered under your warranty, or splash out on one of the new Panasonics.
