£500 budget - Sony 32" or Toshiba 37"
Would appreciate any advice on the best use of my budget of around £500. I've come across a couple of bargains so far - Sony's KDL 32V4000 (£379 from Amazon) or Toshiba's 37XV555 (£525 also from Amazon). The set would sit a good 3 metres from our sofa so I would like to get a 37" but the Sonys at that size are outwith my budget. Is the Tosh any good or should I settle for a smaller better screen?
Thanks in advance.
Best buy 37" TV on this site. Laskys/Richer Sounds also do it for £549professorhat:What about the Panasonic TH-37PX80 - available for £550 from Amazon - probably can be found even cheaper elsewhere if you hunt around a bit.
Thanks. I had thought about the Pana originally but was put off by the price. But my budget is slowly creeping above the £500. I can't help wondering about the lower resolution of this set though. Will the 1024x720 really give a better picture than the Toshiba Full HD 1920x1080?
Full 1080p sony 40" at sainburys for £599! sounds like a bargin to me

Potentially - some of the Pioneer 720p sets have a much better picture than other cheaper 1080p sets at the same size. I can't comment on the Pana vs Tosh comparison though as haven't compared them.
