£1500 budget

I think ive decided im prepared to part with 1500 quid for my new tv. Im torn between a hd ready pioneer 508 and one of the 50 inch panasonics. I think its a compromise of better blacks on the pioneer or more detail on the panna for bluray. Any thoughts anybody. Bare in mind my viewing distance is about 9-10 feet and i watch a fare few blurays. thanks
