100hz vs standard crt motion

i just wanna know what the fuss is about 100hz (not 200 or 600)
does it really make a difference or just a way of selling a tv

It does make a difference but different manufacturers do it in different ways and the quality of the 100Hz processing makes a difference.

Are the Samsung sets good at 100Hz? The price jump to the 200Hz set isnt a leap i'd like to take really.

Samsung's 100hz works very well IMO.

it makes a big difference on my panny plasma , the picture is unwatchable on 50hz...
laptop...airport...marantz pm7001...dynaudio dm 2/7's...
