Should we have a “what vinyl are you listening to” thread in this section?
Anyone got any thoughts and want to start it off.
Or would WHF prefer us to carry on using the other one.
It might be an opportunity to also see what’s available

A bit late I guess but I have just bought a USA copy on Brunswick of That"ll be the day" by The Crickets which of course includes Buddy Holly.

I might be a bit biased but this makes most current pop sound like the dross that it is!!

Hmm, at the moment Deerhunter - Microcastle

I also got Gonjasuif - The Caliph's Tea Party, Om - Conference Live and F*ck Buttons - Tarot Sport today, and theyre all sounding fantastic.

The sound of the rain is also adding that late-night smokey silence atmosphere to the listening experience - bliss!

At the moment listening to a 1966 King and Roulette mono album from Sam and Dave. Unplayed for many years but I have just purchased an original Rega Planar 3 and with a service and new belts sounds fantastic.

I must say its a big thanks to the posters on the turntable forum that inspired me to go back to vinyl. It beats digital hands down Big Smile

Last Wednesday; the first 3 records I could reach from my stashed away collection to check that my old Dual 505-2 deck was still functioning before part exchanging it yesterday at Unilet Sound & Vision for a Michell GyroDec with TechnoArm Big Smile  (I blame Bretty for this, his new found enthusiasm for vinyl is sooooo infectious Wink).

Unfortunately, I need to add another wall shelf before I can put it all together, so my next bit of vinyl listening is likely to be in a week or two Sad.

I've been listening to Mike and the Mechanics as well (still remember Rolf Harris welling up to 'Living Years'on GMTV), also found a nice copy of Roger Taylors 'Strange Frontiers' album

Another class album.

I'm sure I saw Montrose when they supported the Rolling Stones back in 73/74. My memory is a bit hazy these days Sad

Re: What vinyl are you listening to?

Sorry about the cover I could not find a pic without CD on it. I definately listened to it from LP, a recent charity shop purchase.
