The Visitor - Jim O'Rourke

Dusk At Cubist Castle - OTC (thanks BBB for the reminder awhile back)

John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band

(Dug out the Lennon when I noticed it was being featured on a re-run of Classic Albums on Sky Arts).

The Infotainment Scan - The Fall

Putting mildly The Fall are now both a national treasure of a certain strain and an unacquired taste for many.

Their records sound great. Hi-concept recordings of scuffled, often scuzzy music.

Why doesn't the vinyl release arrive at the same time as the CD?

Just a little gripe...but c'mon!!!  (We are paying more BTW).

I'm guessing you might be talking about The Next Day by David Bowie?  I was a bit surprised to see a two week delay in the vinyl release date from the CD/download date myself.  I've listened to it on Spotify a few times and I'm looking forward to the vinyl even more now.

Exactly, but seems to be inherently poor project management on the part of the record company minions.

Unless anyone can explain why they can't release two bits of plastic at the same time?

Steve,

What was your opinion on the Johnny Marr LP? I felt it still sounded compressed and quite flat.
