Coincidence if or, All Things Must Pass was on my turntable yesterday.
Also, Decemberists "The Hazards of Love" and Fleet Foxes "Helplessness Blues"
Just received today and hoping to listen when back at the weekend:
John Fullbright "from the ground up" , and
Caitlin Rose "The Stand-In.

What was your opinion on the Johnny Marr LP? I felt it still sounded compressed and quite flat.

fook me it sounds bloody good especially Changes
If you like that, you should try and find the live version on the album 90125 - The Solos. The version of Changes on that is just epic.

god I love system!
Startling Music - David Hentschel
In The Eye Of The Storm - Roger Hodgson
It's A Beautiful Day - It's A Beautiful Day
John Fullbright "From the Ground Up" : really good - in my albums of the year already!
This morning: Jamie xx – We're New Here

While still obviously compressed, the breadth of the sound on this is way better than either the MP3 that came free with it or the version on Spotify. Plus the Sleeve and 180g vinyl are top quality, no pops or crackles to be heard.
A mammoth session last night. One last blast before the whole system goes into storage for a few weeks.
Kiss - The Age Of Chance
Kiss - Prince
In Rainbows - Radiohead
Morrissey, You Are The Quarry
The Red Shoes - Kate Bush
The Soft Bulletin - The Flaming Lips
True Stories - Talking Heads
Darklands - JAMC
Countdown To Ecstacy - Steely Dan

i hope you survve the drought!
I unearthed these two old faves from the 80s:-
Paul Simon - Heart and Bones
Sade - Diamond Life
Had forgotten about Ms Adu until another mag gave them a write up recently. Still sounds fab, and appears to be AAA, i.e. no digits anywhere, unlike Mr Simon's.
Sade - Diamond Life.................simply fantastic soundin piece of vinyl!
