What vinyl are you listening to?
Fat Mattress
Genesis - Trick of the tail. Sublime, genius at work
Certainly nothing recent. We do indeed live in mysterious times. Compared to the Sixties this is the time when we need protest. Yet to all intents and purposes there is none, well none of any value.
If music is an insight into the youths concerns then they seem ignorant to the point of catatonia.
Of course Buddy Holly was great, he had the world at his feet as did we all. War was a thing of the past and utopia was in sight. Could anyone think that now?

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true or is it something worse.
Beck "Guerolito". Yeah!
Civil Wars - Barton Hollow
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue

Oh yes. I haven't looked at another turntable since
By the way, did you hear that Civil Wars have split up? Tour cancelled due to different ambitions, apparently. Pity, they were sounding good.
Not quite sure what is happening to Civil Wars, was aware of problems as had a ticket to their Brighton show which was one of those cancelled. Heard they had differing opinions but were working on new material, she has recently had a baby so maybe justy not going to tour anymore?
Glad you are still happy with the Inspire makeover, just waiting for Robert to confirm collection.
Spent a nice lazy Sunday, quality vinyl time having listened to
Miles Davis (Kind of Blue),
PIL (This is PIL),
the xx (Coexist), Django Django (
Django Django),
Bellowhead (Broadside),
Civil Wars (Barton Hollow),
Ian McCulloch (Pro Patria Mori),
Kylie (The Abbey Road Sessions)
and as I drained the last of the 12 year Balvenie Doublewood, Wild Beasts (Two Dancers).
A very enjoyable Sunday!
Have now packed up my Rega for it to be picked up tomorrow and be taken for its Inspire upgrade. Can't wait until I get it back and settle down to a nice long vinyl session.
