Having spent a bit more time and a lot more money enhancing my digital set up, its time to treat the Gyrodec to a better phono stage.

I've been using a cheap Project tube-box se for the past year and basically forgotten about it.  Now, with a budget up to about £1000 (inc s/h) what sort of recommendations are out there?

Currently using a Dynavector 10x5 mc cart, but that will probably get upgraded after the phono stage so don't worry unduly about it.

Yep Dino's a clear choice.  What do you think of the Diablo?

Don't know, haven't heard it, but the Dino with the HR power supply (is that right?) is great. I'd be most inclined to start with that and add a Kontrapunkt and away you go.

The Ear 834p gets lots of praise. Its also got a volume control so you can go straight to a power amp.
