The 10x5 isnt bright!
the kids are in the garden playing - Im just spinning Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing LP - its sounds so good and Toms Diner - no surface noise whatsoever, its haunting really pleased with it now
Steve, you had an Elys2 on an RP3 and I found that dull.
I still require some punch and tempo.
I should of meant the 10x5 isnt tiring, it has plenty of drive - o god im confusing myself now
What have you decided to fit?
The Dynavector — except a certain forum member got there first
So won't have it in my hands until next week…
oh no your joking! Hey fella Im not in a rush, I can ring em tomo and I will wait until next week as I have Keiths atm
Never mind Steve — I'm sure it's already in the post

Rega RP6 / 10x5 / MP-110
It's a very noble offer Steve but I can't ask you to do it
Still unsure if it's the right choice — who knows — but it seems like the right choice
Steve — you said that you had to raise your arm? Does 2mm get it perfectly level? I like the idea of this as it's nice and solid http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rega-Point-Metal-VTA-Spacer/dp/B00782I24Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375211562&sr=8-2&keywords=rega+vta
Yes that the same spacer!
In all honesty my arm is slightly EDITED down - however have a chat with keith its perfectly fine apparenty!
arse down - more bass
arse up - more treble
or something like that?????
Bill at Analogue Seduction advised me to get the 2mm spacer
There's also this fancy thing:
Yes I've looked at that and am interested. At the moment I useRega 3 Point VTA Arm Height Adjuster Black
Rega Brio R, Inspire Quest Rega TT c/w Clearaudio Concept MM, Rega TTPSU, Marrantz CD6004, MA BX2, MF V-Can II, HRT Streamer2, Acer Aspire 1(Win7 Starter), AKG K451, AKG K550, SoundMAGIC HP100
Yamaha RXV671, Sony BDPS370, Xbox360, Samsung UE37E6300, Wharfedale Diamond 9.1, CM10.1, 8.1 SW150
Lots of tweaking then - see whats best for your ears!
Problem is that I can't see how it's made — so I don't know how it works — and I really want to know that it's good and solid
Looks like its a threaded 2 piece collar to me. Guessing here , you slacken the bolts , grip the tone arm mount bit, then unscrew the collar thus raising the arm. Tighten the bolts so the threads lock together as well as bolting the arm in situ .
As I say just a guess.
Edit. Just had another butchers and I cant see how else it would work baring my stab at Floydie Instructions. Thats the badger I would buy if I'm correct and had to resort to a Rega
Looking at all the Michell Engineering stuff — its beautifully made and so I presume so is this.
Even the tenderfeet I bought from them were lovely — and they were just feet!
You can always give Mich a call. Ask the old dear to put you through to the tech dept. Somebody will explain the ins and outs of it for you. Mich are always willing to help or give advice on their products.
Agree and its also reasonably priced considering its all made here. Just oredered a Delrin clamp for the Sony.
Pretty ... and pretty proud of it
