Wheres Steviebaby when you need him. The little dyna can boogie allright and tons more refined than the Sumi.
As you two have pretty much the same set up his input may help you along James.
JC are you bidding for my Rumour on the bay?
ATV3 > Rega DAC > Rega Elicit R > Rega RS3
Rega RP6 / 10x5 / MP-110
Obvously I cant compare the Sumiko as I havent heard it, The 10x5 to my ears is so much nicer sounding than the Exact - more open & transparent - it not tiring either.
James you have the luxury of trying both, I havent where as Keith lent me the 10x5 so I am going with it (When Analogue Seduction get a delivery - this week i hope)
nope not me, though I must get hold of that album at some point as it is a favourite

lol meant the cable!
When I was looking for cartridges, the amount of times I was recomended the 10x5 as a match made in heaven with the Rega . . . I then had the oportunity to listen to Sumiko in my own P5, bright, modern presentation by my standards, not my cup of tea. A personal opinion of course.
Argh — my head is spinning!
I guess I should ask CJSF — what is your cup of tea?
James, why not ask Walrus if you can borrow the dyna , so you can compare them. They can only say flippin no.
Editeroonie. Just seen post 15 page 1.
Swap it , end of.
The 10x5 isnt bright!
the kids are in the garden playing - Im just spinning Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing LP - its sounds so good and Toms Diner - no surface noise whatsoever, its haunting really pleased with it now
BTW seems stock is a bit scarce on the Dyn 10x5, So just rang Walrus and they are sending one out to me today £20 off RRP delivered - RESULT
Funny, when I started chatting to the guy he thought I was Mr Carruthers - small world eh!
James - you wont got wrong with either!
Steve, you had an Elys2 on an RP3 and I found that dull.
I still require some punch and tempo.
I should of meant the 10x5 isnt tiring, it has plenty of drive - o god im confusing myself now
What have you decided to fit?
