Don't use this much and never had any problems before, while playing some records (new) today I was getting loud feedback like sounds that you could hear over the music, anyway I found the problem but cannot seem to fix it, when you put the stylus on the record the actual cartridge housing is also touching the record, its as if the stylus cannot support itself, I use an OM 20 and have tried moving the anti-skip weight but this made no difference, I have not made any charges to the player and the stylus is quite new and its always worked fine, on these turntables they are already setup and its always been OK.

Any help please.

Sounds like your cartridge has been damaged.  Expect that, if you look at it under a microscope, you'll find a nice little dent in the cantilever.
