I still have it in me to get the best from my system.
Why bother? OK I wont, you stay in the 'dark' . . .
We're already in the dark! We're still in the dark! Unless you're actually prepared to tell anyone what you've done what help is this to anyone?
Nobody likes a tease...
No signature worth mentioning...
I am guessing CJ has filled the arm tube with a mixture of lead shot and Horlicks powder and rebalanced it with a pile of Blu-Tack on the counterweight..
Perhaps he is now ferreting around for some depleted uranium - from the nearest Army practice range - to engineer a new, denser, heavier, counterweight.

Puzzled by CJ "bodge" reference. Is this a strange term of endearment, or an imperfection with some of the materials purchased?

Bodge = botch.
A temporary job done with whatever materials fall to hand until a more permanent fix can be executed.
Like a 'breadboard' used for prototyping circuits.
Watch Apollo 13 for very famous 'bodge'.

And some Italian supercars. (Post crash analysis of Lamborghini car wreckage frequently turned up orange box wood - with tell-tale labels - used in the construction of much of their interiors.)
Their tubular space frames were tweaked (if a little 'out of true') by some bloke jumping on a plank that was wedged into the frame until things lined up.
Yeah I know what 'botch' means. I'm trying to decipher CJ's terminology in the context of the thread.
He had an idea for a performance upgrade and did a temporary 'bodge' or experiment (with whatever he could find at the time) to prove the principle worked.
Now he will buy some materials to make a permanent and properly finished job of it. (Whatever 'it' is.)
He is certainly being tad more secretive about this one. Normally a bit more forthcoming regards his bodge / botch / potch.
I guess we'll find out in the not too distant future.(After second Horlicks?)

Yeah, what with this and the mystery of John Duncan's 'Secret Shiny Box', I don't think I can bear much more anticipatory excitement.
I'm fairly perplexed by the 'bodges' as CJ always comes across a fastidious.
I'm the one who usually botches things, in a Clarkson way (where's the hammer?): Well, for a mental defective, it was a genius idea. For a genius, it is mentally defective.
Given the Inspire Rega has a thick plinth, maybe cjsf is going to mount/bond his p5 onto something sturdier, and is waiting to get a proper piece of hardwood.
"Wickes ..........it's got his name on it!"
See, your brains are beginning to work, much more interesting, fun too . . .
