It will play LPs and singles, but in all likelihood won't do them justice, and depending on how the arm is balanced, and how the bearings work, may actually damage them.
Any turntable (with a RRP of £50) is going to have had some serious corner-cutting to get to that price break.
Without seeing it, it may be ok. But I personally wouldn't be gambling even £25 on it, when a similar amount of cash will get you a reasonable 2nd hand Dual 505.
