Hells teeth bin it. I take it thats with the cart slot pushed tight against the bolt too ?. I doubt very much that you will nail that on with 2mm bolts let alone 2.5.
Thats miles out isnt it.
Yeah, the bolt is right into the groove, it's the EDITED cartridge.
I'll contact Amazon about it, as it was via them. Think I'll send the picture link so they can see what I'm talking about.
Is there a chance that a slimmer bolt would work?

Hard to tell from here mate. I would need to measure it accurately. You could try M2 bolts and nuts. Dosnt really matter what size so long as the ruddy thing is nailed on. Jeez you aint having a truck load of luck lately. Have you got any 2mm drills that would give you an idea if the bolts would be ok.
Get yer money back and buy a decent cart ,that TT and arm deserve better anyhoo.
Thanks for the kind offer Andy, but I'll sort this some how.
I'm not having any luck trying to return the item to Xoom via Amazon either. It keeps saying I can't return anything after 30 days, but I can't find a link to return faulty goods. Ill keep trying.
That cartridge sure does look to be the problem from your pics.
Hope you find a way to return it.

Make that essential Steve.
The die cast mould for the fixing plate is either well sh***ed or they had a new insert made thats erm , the wrong bloody size across the centres !.
Yes but fancy a different spare Just aquired a SL-1200 MK2 so when it arrives will need to buy some carts.
Also have a spare for my SL-J1 so the ELYS2 is spare
I've managed to send an email to Xoom via Amazon, and explained the problem, and the reason why it's taken so long before attempting to fix it to a turntable.
Hopefully I'll hear back from them tomorrow.
What's worrying me a little, is the time it's will be from receiving the turntable, to finally getting it playing records, and if there does turnout to be a problem with the turntable, the seller is going abroad, and I might get stuck with an expensive repair bill.
Surely buying new gear should be a pleasureable experience shouldn't it? " />
