Just like the Champions League final of 2005, this seemed a very unlikely result at half time. But, I played a blinder in the second half, knocked 3 in the net, then the gods watched over me through the rest of the game, extra time, and penalties.
I cried with joy in 2005, this time, there are no tears, but, just like the man who got run over by a steam train, I'm chuffed to bits. " />
Enjoying your joy, BBB, just wish you hadn't invoked the spirit of 2005. I prefer the final of 1999 for examples of last gasp turnarounds.
Otherwise, let joy be unconfined!!!

Have finally got a new cartridge, and fitted it.
Bought an Ortofon Super OM20 which arrived finally from Germany during the week, and I fitted it with relative ease yesterday morning. Tested it a litttle, but I'm struggling to get the downforce correct, so ordered some pocket scales, which should arrive during the week, ready for next weekend when I get back from working away.
I'm happy though, as the fitting was easy, and it looks neater, as they provided 2 different sizes of bolts, one of which was absolutely the perfect length.
Goldring 1042 problem is still a week away from being resolved, so not sure exactly what will happen.
BUT. I've been looking at reviews of the Grado Prestige Gold cartridge, and it looks great.
Has anyone got any thoughts on the Grado?
(Yes I know this is dragging on)
I know you've gone down the Ortofon route now (and I hope you love it, when it arrives). But, just for info, I have a Grado, albeit the Reference Platinum 1, which cost about £230 if I remember correctly. It's a great cartridge. Looks great with wooden headshell and sounds cushty. Deep warm bass with a delicate treble and great with vocals.
Aahh, just remembered I posted about it when I bought it, a couple years back, HERE
