As a part of my mass cull, emptied out a chest which my daughter uses as a table. After emptying the chest I've found my old Garrard (B20) turntable. It has a Ortofon cartridge F15E MKII. Not yet tested it but I'll give it the once over tonight....woohoo!

The Ortofon FF15E was my first cartridge..I think it's still kicking about the house in my box of bits (do all old audiophiles have a box of long defunct TT bits and cables?).

Yes, most of us do. Mr. Duncan used to have his hi-fi drawer stuffed full of bits 'n' bobs.

The Ortofon FF15E was a good cart in its day, but my favourite around that price bracket was Goldring G800. The only problem with the Goldring was it had a very low MVs, I seem to remember.

For me the answer is also Yes.
I have also found that the size of the box increases in direct proportion to age! excellent!

Any'sway, back to my Garrard. I've plugged it in and the platter doesn't spin. It maybe the fuse in the plug, but don't own a 3 amp fuse so it'll have to wait another few hours.

Good question , I hadn't thought it through that far . I guess for a three amp fuse a finger nail would be sufficient  whereas a toenail , being slightly thicker , would be more suitable for a 5 amp fuse .

You're on your own when it comes to 13 amp fuses !
