In need of a new turntable
I have an amp with a phono pre-stage so I need a new turntable to replace my rubbish ION. I am looking for something inbetween £150 - £200
I found the Pro-Ject Essential and it looks really good, any opinions on this TT?

This is £175 with these features:
• Belt drive with silicone belt
• Low vibration synchronous motor
• 8,6” single-pivot aluminium tonearm
• Ortofon OM5e cartridge, pre-mounted
• Connection to phono preamp or amplifier with phono preamp required
• Pre-mounted interconnect cable with gold-plated RCA plugs
• Colour options: Black, Red, White
Pro-Ject have a huge range, with something at almost every price point. If you can stretch to the RP1 then it is generally rated better. But for £175 the essential justifies its name! And the mag awarded it five stars, so you can't go wrong.
Just seen it here:

for £155 if you are still deciding.
