help with cartridge setup please
Also am I right in saying that the numbers on the dial is 1 unit is 1g.....so if the vertical tracking force of the cartridge is 1.8gm - 2.5g then the dial should be somewhere between 18 & 25? is this correct...?
What turntable and arm are you using? Also is it the stock counterweight on the end of the arm or an aftermarket?
Hi,
It's a pro-ject experience 2 turntable with a pro-ject 9cc tonearm

me
The manual tells you to rotate the counter weight counter clockwise, i.e. anti-clockwise, to set the tracking force.
Set the tracking weight at the higher end of the scale. Good luck with configuring on the protractor
ah, thank you
Hi, we have placed a setup video and general guide to cartridge and turntable setup in the support section of our website. I hope this helps.

How would you set up a Debut II though? That doesn't have any markings on the counterweight, so how do you know when the tracking force is correct if you change the cartridge (I put an Ortofon 2M Red on mine, for example)?
Cheap scales. Ortofon, Pro-ject and Shure all make them.
AL beat me to it. However, there will also be a basic tracking force gauge in the accessory pack for your Pro-ject.
Hmm, there may have been once but 3 moves later I doubt it's still there now, you won't have any at the Bristol Show by any chance will you?
Probably
Righty-ho, see you on Friday!
