Help needed with Pro-Ject Debut Phono SB

Hi guy's I need some help I have a pro-ject debut phono sb turntable the turntable has built in phono stage but the sound from it isn't as loud as my USB DAC. Could it be I need a new cartridge btw I'm using a musical fidility amp

It may just be that your USB DAC has an exceptionally high output.
Vinyl is nearly always slightly lower than most other components and is something you tend to get used to.
