help for a total moron please
Sorry if this is the wrong place please feel free to put me right. I am in the market for an upgrade to my system. I was shocked to see no such thing as a hi fi as I would imagine one for sale in the high street or even in the specialist shops in the small town I live in. Everything seems to be the size of a cigarette packet with two tiny speakers and a dock for an Ipod.
I currently have a Technics EH790 system. which I have never been happy with but my previous system was the earlier (and better ) equivalent. It went wrong and Technics replaced it with an "upgrade" My biggest problem with it , is it has no phono imput and relies at the moment on a cheap maplins preamp to play my Marantz TT221 turntable which is older than the ark but was the best I could when I bought it about 1979 I think. I have had others since but none that i like as much as the marantz.
I don't need it to play through the TV or play an ipod etc just an old fashioned hi fi. I want a CD player an amp with phono imput an equalizer and tuner. Is it asking too much nowadays? The Technics system must go there is nothing I can unplug and use with a different system as it is all ribbon wired together. can someone recommend a system or a shop I could get advice from in the Grimsby area please?
buy a mixing table.something like jb systems mx3 or numark m2.if your system has a aux imput this works marvellous
