Goldring PA1 Phono Amp

Having just bought a Pre / Power Amp and new CD player.......the guy has also bundled in his Goldring PA1 Phono Amp. I know this is now a discontinued product but does anyone here know what its like or how good it is?

Should it be a case of making do with it for now and then upgrading it as soon as I can to something like a Graham Slee or Trichord Phono Amp?
