I am actually now worried I could turn into a TT junkie - I have even been looking at GT Sub Platters!

Your not the only one! My mate told me about a used RP1 in his local HiFi shop - but warned me I would get addicted!
It's all well and good succumbing to these little tweaks and gizmos, but all the money you could save could go in the speaker kitty. Better speakers will yield a far greater upgrade. At best these cartridge scales, white belts etc etc will only give you collective subtle differences at best.
Amp: Leema Pulse; Source: Naim CD5i-2, Denon 260MKII, Pro-ject XP I; Speakers: PMC TB2i

my speaker kitty is awaitig - but it takes alot of time to demo stuff especially when you have kids!
the fact I have no 'local' dealer except super-fi makes it more diffucult!
super-fi - what a load of amateurs!
Not really used Super-fi. Visited their Camden branch on one occasion, and that's about it.
Fully understand about kids, as I have a youngster too. These little (hi-fi) extras are great once you've got all the components of choice in place. I personally wouldn't buy any gizmos until I have all the sources and speakers in place. Once that's achieved, money permitting, then I'll look at, possibly, turntable upgrades.
Sources at present on my list is Arcam CD192 or CD37 (at the right price) and, perhaps, again at the right price price, Mitchell Gyrodec. Speakers still undecided: PMC, ProAc, Kef 'R' series heads my current list, although I've sadly dismissed Totem Arros...

That's a distinct list PP, no MA...?
Nope - like Arcam amps I've had'em too long, and fancy a change... if I can find the sound I'm looking for away from MA. If not I'll stick with the RS6s. I found "the sound" with Totems but there's only one dealer and all his other stocks are either way too expensive or not suitable for my living room.
At the minute:
Neat Motive 3
are all possible, but I need to demo them all at home for a few days
Have not heard the Dyn Excite X12 yet, but I will get round to it.
I will go up to £800 ie the Neat need to be an ex demo pair, prefably the RS3 too!
In between all these speakers demos I keep getting distracted with Sub Platters, Belts & Cartridges!
PS MA are not for me!
My amp grips not only the bottom end but also the slightly troublesome treble like a vice. Contrary to most reviews the Leema and MA are a very good match. There is evidence of this, also, when the Tucana is recommended by Monitor Audio themselves, to match the PL range.
Seems like a sound list. I could get very excited about the Excites but fear they aren't flexible enough in terms of positioning.
A man need some distractions in life...
its bit of strange one with the speaker issue/room acoustics.
My old lounge was 4 x 3m, but extremely high ceilings and the speakers were firing across the narrow dimension,
My new lounfge is 5 x 4m and, speakers will be firing across the 4m dimension, however I have normal height ceilings so thats why i need a demo at home - to be honest the RS1 sound better in this room, it isnt the case of buying the best speaker in a dealers demo room - they have to be the best speaker in my room!
Just ordered one too. Had my Inspire and Benz professionally set up, but that wat a long while ago. Will be nice to see what the weight is, and have a bit of a play.
