Cartridge upgrade for Sony PS11 tonearm

Hi,
I think it's about time I replaced the supplied cartridge that came with my Sony ps11 (purchased 1976). I was thinking of something in the Shure range preferably a budget model. Although I don't have a particular one in mind i'm sure it would be an improvement on the current setup. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The only one currently widely available from Shure is the M97xE. I got mine from the USA for 79USD, but you can probbly get it here too if you hunt around. Take a look at lpgear.com
It should cope with your Sony, which is probably a bit higher mass than ideal, but the damper will keep the cartridge safe.
Otherwise a basic AT would be a good choice.

Are you OK for fitting it and balancing it? If not, try to find a nice dealer who remembers how to do it!
