Cartridge for AR/Linn Basik
I've just got myself an AR turntable, the actual model is "AR The Turntable". Arm is the Linn Basik LV-X. Suggestions for a suitable cartridge please.

The Plinius has both MM and MC. I've read some very good reviews of the Ortofon Vivo Red and price wise it slots in between the 2M Blue and 2M Bronze. My only concern is arm compatibility. Would the Vivo work in the Linn Basik?

Having looked at the spec. sheet I am pretty sure you will have no trouble with this cartridge.
Can't say I have ever owned / heard one but they seem to get very good reviews.
If you can get it for £200 or less it would seem a good deal. What made you select this particular one?
I had set my heart on a moving coil and this one was within my budget and I also had to take into consideration the limitations of the Linn arm. After reading the favourable reviews on this cartridge, I felt this would be the ideal one providing it was a good match with the Linn arm.

The Basik arm will accept a wide range of cartridges. It would depend somewhat on your budget.
I assume the Plinius has a moving magnet input, or does the phon stage take moving coil as well?
